RIA EKIN
RIA EKIN is the electronic music project of producer and DJ Albert Zaragoza Gas, based on Spain’s southeastern coast. Active since 2013, his work explores the intersection between footwork, jungle mutations and flamenco tradition, filtered through Mediterranean digital culture and post-internet aesthetics.
His music is built from Iberian-rooted sonic material — cante, handclaps, zapateado footwork, guitar fragments and local folklore — reimagined through high-tempo rhythmic structures, granular processing and fractured percussion. Over a decade of experimentation, he has developed a distinctive hybrid language that connects emotional electronics with contemporary club futurism.
RIA EKIN has released on labels such as Iberian Juke, Moveltraxx, Pedicure Records, Prinzedom Records, Soulfeeder and Alternatapes, appearing alongside artists from the global footwork and experimental club ecosystem including BSN Posse, Broken Lip, GAZZI, Dalila, jjjacob and others.
His work has been highlighted by Bandcamp Daily, DIS Magazine, RTVE and international selectors. He has performed both in Spain and abroad, including a China tour with Iberian Juke (OIL Shenzhen, ALL Shanghai), connecting his sound with emerging Asian club scenes.
With his new release INDALO, RIA EKIN expands his practice even further: mutated footwork frameworks, flamenco sampling, emotional intensity and a renewed exploration of Mediterranean identity through contemporary electronic production.
